In the 2026 FRC Season, Reefscape, two alliances of 3 teams each compete to score a lot of fuel (Dense foam balls, unlike the wiffle balls from 2017) into a giant structure known as the hub. Each team has 1 Minute and 50 Seconds to score fuel, including the 20 seconds of autonomous operation, the 10-second transition shift, and the 50 seconds per alliance shift, during which the opposing alliance won't earn points, followed by the last 30 seconds. There is also a tower to climb, where, if you climb it autonomously, you can earn a total of 30 points via 2 robots at level 1, making it a lot easier to earn that ranking point. Whichever alliance and the end of the game wins the match.
During this season, we competed in the following events.
Milford District Event
Mason District Event
Innovation in Control - Mason
Drivetrain: Similar to the last 3 years, we used a Swerve Drivetrain, using MK5n modules from Swerve Drive Specialties. Although at first Saturn used a standard indexer, we switched it out for a spindexer at Mason due to slight issues with using a spindexer, we used a turret both times to allow us to be able to angle shots to be more precise.
We believe that even though we didn't make it to States again, we did quite well this season. We managed to be more student-lead than the prior season, and we won an award, unlike last season.
