In the 2025 FRC Season, Reefscape, two alliances of 3 teams each compete to score a lot coral (pvc tubes) into a structure called the reef, and removing algae (green kickballs) from the reef into another structure called the processor. In the last 20 seconds of the match, robots climb on these cages to earn ranking points. The alliance with the most amount of points wins the match.
During this season, the RoboRams competed in the:
Kettering FIM District Event
Mason FIM District Event
Drive Train: Like the last 2 years, we incorporated a swerve drive system. It has a top speed of 17.1 feet per second
Arm: MOAT uses a 3d printed container to hold Coral, and also knock Algae off the reef
Climbing: The climber allows us to do deep climbs on the barge, and latches to make sure that MOAT doesn't fall.
Autonomous: Although MOAT's auton isn't the greatest, it usually guarantees that any alliance MOAT is on gets at least 3 points
Specialization: MOAT is field centric, meaning that it determines its movement and such on the field itself.
Description:
Equipped with a wonderous arm and 8 Kraken x60 motors, MOAT is designed for speed and agility, ready to take on *almost everything
Weighs: 110 lbs
Sizing: 29 square inch chassis
Our Team (6078) had a decent season during the 2025 Reefscape Competition, with our robot (MOAT) proving to be a capable contender.
