ABOUT US

Overview

WHAT WE REPRESENT

FIRST Team 6078 was founded by Lisa Weise and Stephen Potter in 2015 at Holt High School, a large school in suburban Lansing, Michigan. The team is named after the school mascot, the Holt Rams. This is the second year with the head coach, Bryan Tasior.

After eight years, the team consists of approximately 40 students and 5 mentors. Members are students of Holt High School; mentors include an engineer from Dart Container, Alumni, and other skilled volunteers.

The RoboRams are part of a larger organization called FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be leaders in science and technology by engaging them in mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, while also building self-esteem, life skills, and community awareness.

OUR VALUES

OUR MISSION

From the beginning, our mission has been to encourage the core principles behind STEM Education for all ages. As our program continues to grow, we will continue to be committed to our team and our supportive community.

OUR VISION

Within the few years of our program, we are planning on including FIRST Programs for all grade levels to bring STEM Education from the beginning. We believe success lies within the love of STEM.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

During the 2022 season, RoboRams secured the 'Creativity Award' at both district events. During the Lakeview Event, a 'District Finalist' Award was also achieved during an intense battle between teams.

Though awards were not achieved at the State Competition and World Championship, it was a great honor to be there for the very first time in RoboRams history. We hope to make it back again in the next season and achieve remarkable things.

2023 SEASON

During the 2023 season, RoboRams secured the 'Creativity Award' at the Mason District event. During the Lakeview Event, the 'District Finalist' and 'Quality' Awards were also achieved during an intense battle between teams. Then in the World Championship, the 'Imagery' Award was captured by the team.

This marks the second time the RoboRams have gone to the State Competition and World Championship, we are extremely grateful for all the support and hope to continue this line of success.
